James C. McIlwain

President – CPA

James “Jay” McIlwain has been the president and managing partner of the firm since 2008.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over twenty-six years of experience in the areas of accounting, taxation and business advisory services.  He is a highly skilled tax preparer who is personally invested in his clients, their business, and obtaining the best possible financial results for them.

Jay is a native of Roanoke.  He graduated from Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1991.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and the Rotary Club of Roanoke –Downtown -having served as a board member from 2005-2007.  He is proud to call the Roanoke Valley home and cares deeply about both his family and community. He is married to Cassandra McIlwain and together they are raising three children.
